MADE BY MOHAMMEDcreative DIRECTOR, graphic desgin, art  In a groundbreaking project blending graphic design and art installation, WE collaborated with vandalorum museum and string furniture company to address the theme of "Folkhemmet" (The Swedish Home), reflecting on the 1950s political movement. Tasked with creating a narrative for a three-story shelf, we focused on the integration of immigrants in Swedish society. The project was inspired by a profound interaction with Mohamed, an employee at string manufacturing factory, highlighting the complexities of immigrant acceptance. The installation featured personal and symbolic items: a letter from Mohamed, a Syrian plate with Volvo keys, a Swedish book FOR IMMIGRANTS, an empty frame, an empty jam jar filled with money, a Quran, and a plant that dies through the exhibition symbolizing the faded beauty of Folkhemmet. The graphic identity mirrored a Swedish citizenship letter, altering Mohamed's surname to a Swedish one, underscoring the persistent societal exclusion despite assimilation efforts. A stamp with the word (home) in arabic, it represents immigration, just like birds we are forced out of our homes due to the circumstances.
